Q: I ordered hosting from you and I have not received my
account details yet?
A: You probably gave us an incorrect email address or details were lost in
cyberspace!, sometimes happens. Please send contact our Helpdesk and
provide an alternative email address as well and we will send the account
details again.
Q: Can I register domain names only?
A: If you only require domain name registration or extra domains for your
account you can select registration only option from order page. All domains
are now £7.45 each.
Q: How do I pay for Hosting/Domain Name renewals?
A: We sent out automated renewal reminders with payment details. If you want
to pay renewal fees early or you did not receive reminders you can always
contact our Helpdesk for
assistance.
Q: Do you offer uptime guarantees?
A: Yes we do, for more info please read our Web Site Availability Service
Level Agreement
Q: Do you display any banners or pop-up ads on my website?
A: Bargainhost will not display any of our promotional pop-up ads or insert
advertisements anywhere on your website. You are allowed to display your
own adverts and pop-ups if you wish.
Q: If I register a domain name with you will I be the owner?
A: Yes the domain name will be registered in your name as the owner. We are
only Admin/Tech contact, the domain can be transferred away at anytime
free of charge.
Q: Can I host or Park more than one domain on the same
account?
A: Yes, you will be able to divide your hosting account up into seperate
websites as standard. For every domain you addon to your account you will
have a unique URL with seperate login and email accounts. You can also park
domains on your account, all domain features can be accessed from within
Cpanel. We also have upgrade options that will allow you to addon/park more
domains for £20 per year.
Q: How much do I pay for domain name renewals?
A: .com .net .org .info .biz domains will cost £7.45
per year, co.uk org.uk me.uk domains will cost £7.45
every 2 years to renew.
Q: I already have a domain registered, I just need hosting.
What must I do?
A: You will need to click the 'Transfer Domain'
link in the navigation menu to the left. You can then enter your domain name
and sign up for hosting.
Q: Do you charge to transfer domain away?
A: We do not charge any fees to transfer a domain away, please contact our Helpdesk to
arrange a transfer at anytime.
Q: Do you keep backups of customers websites?
A: Bargainhost will keep daily backups of customers websites.
Q: Can you recover my website data from your system
backups?
A: Yes we can restore customers site from the most recent backups.
Q: I am interested in signing up as a reseller. How can I find more information
about your resellers accounts?
A: Bargainhost do not have reseller accounts yet, as an alternative you can
always create seperate websites from your account to provide a service for
your clients. You must deal with your own clients support.
Q: I have a question that is not answered on this page, what
do I do?
A: You may contact us via the Helpdesk
Q: Where can I find more information about Bargainhost?

Q: Can I upgrade my existing hosting plan.
A: If you already have an account with us you can upgrade your account to
a higher plan at anytime on a pro-rata basis.
Q: How can I see when my domains are set to be billed?
A: Log into the Client Manager,
select the domain from the domain list on your account page. Then, click
view and you will be able to see the billing status.
Q: How do I update my account information?
A: Log into your account Client
Manager, your account information will be displayed at the top of the
page, and you will be able to edit it at that point.
Q: What if somebody hacks into your server, will they be
able to access my credit card information?
A: No. We do not store credit cards on file as we use a third party to process
credit/debit card payments.
Q: What level of support do I get with your hosting accounts?
A: When you receive your account details there will be links to manuals that
guide you in every area of your control-panel from setting up emails and
uploading your site. You will also find most help for your basic support
from our Support Knowledgebase you
should not be stuck for help once you have searched through the help categories.
If you do get stuck or there is a problem please dont hesitate to contact our Techs who are available online 24/7 from the Helpdesk
We will respond to support requests if there is any server side problems. We cannot help clients with CGI/Perl scripts or any other third party software, you should contact authors of scripts regarding problems and script configurations or enlist the services of companies that will configure scripts.
Q: I placed an order for hosting on your site and I have
not received any account login information, where is it?
A: Your account will be setup same day, if there is a long delay please contact
us for your login details via the Helpdesk
